Dog-tongue Buckwheat, Wild Buckwheat.

Erigeron tomentosum. (I think it should be TORMENTosum- it was so frustrating to ID! )

Description:

About 1 meter tall, leaves sparse, about 1" long, maybe 3/4" wide. entire, 3 leaves WHORLED. Several very Small, woolly flowers clustered at branch ends . White, tinged with pink on center of petals. I can't tell If there are 6 petals and no sepals, or three petals and three long sepals. Very cute, no fragrance to speak of. I really need an ID for this for a class I'm taking. Any help whatsoever will be greatly appreciated!

Habitat:

Florida pine sand hill, Wekiva State Park.

Notes:

A HUGE THANKYOU TO MY MERCIFUL INSTRUCTOR DON- who got the ID for me.

I'm not well versed in Florida plants, but I would start with the Portulacaceae or Euphorbiaceae families.
