White singular mushroom with prominent gills. seemed to extend from leaf litter and not any other wood or debris. Did not take a spore sample.

Thank you flown the loop! I have barely any knowledge on mushrooms and have been totally lost. I just joined a GA mushrooming group so I'm starting to learn a few things, but I've got gobs of pictures with no clue what they are.
