Family: Nymphalidae Subfamily: Heliconiinae Wings are black, long and narrow, with thin yellow stripes.
Host plant: Passion-vines Habitat: Tropical hammocks, moist forests, edges, fields. Spends little time in full sun.
This female laid eggs on my Purple Passion Vine. In the picture above, you can actually see her laying an egg. She laid nearly 10 eggs, in a bunch, on new growth.
