Penelopides manillae manillae
Penelopides manillae (Boddaert, 1783) (Bucerotidae), the Luzon Hornbill or Luzon Tarictic Hornbill, is a small hornbill with prominently ridged bill. It is endemic to forests of Luzon and nearby islands in the northern Philippines. As is the case with all Philippine tarictic hornbills, it has been considered a subspecies of P. panini (as Penelopides panini manillae). The male nominate race (P. m. manillae) is creamy on head, neck and underparts. It is about 45cm and 395–479g; while female is about 470–475g.
