thanks kunzah, I looked on the web, and I'm not sure it is trametes spp. That seems to be much thinner and more delicate with the stripes well pronounced. This spotting seems courser with not such delineation between the stripes. Maybe one of the experts will help...

@Cammie. Sorry Cammie, I have JUST started collecting fungi and know almost nothing about them. I am hoping to learn from the experts we have on PN! I usually spot butterflies, but there were almost none on Cyprus Mountain, and lots of fungi, so that became my focus (only 3 days ago!)
