Description:

Dark, glossy blue plumage above, pure white belly, chest and throat. The plumage could appear dark green in fall or depending on the light.

Habitat:

Qu'Appelle River meadows and wetlands, Canada Prairies. The tree swallow is common near water, where dead trees offer nest holes.
