Native to southern South America; feral here in Miami FL's suburbs and parks.

Notes:

Have seen several feral parrots at this park, but hadn't seen these before. They were ransacking a Silk Floss Tree (Ceiba speciosa, Chorisia speciosa) at the botanical garden.
