Acer pensylvanicum
Rarely grows more than 45 feet. Uneven crown. Its bark is easy to idetify with its green bark and white spripes. Opposite leaves. The leaves are a yellow green.
It is a minor component of the understory in harwood forests, along with spruce-fur and mixed wood forest types.
The Striped Maple is not considered a commercial species for lumber and wood production, although it is a very impotant wildlife food source.
