Has compound leaves50-30in. long. Generally 11-17 leaflets with terminal leaflet present. Grayish bark. 40-60ft. tall.
Well drained steam banks. Well adapted to grow in dry, COMPACT, rocky or limestone ground.
Considered " threatend " in Tennessee. Other common names include white walnut, demon walnut, and oil nut.
