Description:

Large gull. Mottled brown with a heavy dark beak and pink legs. Narrow dark tail-band and white rump. Adults are white with dark blackish wings and pale pink legs. A couple of adults photographed the same day as this bird: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/150...

Habitat:

Smith Point County Park, NY. Seashore.

Notes:

This bird was flying along the shoreline over the waves hunting for food.
