Description:

Red Oak acorn are biennial; 1-2 acorns on a penduncle, thick saucer shaped cup with blunt scales, inner surface pubescent around scar, covering up to 1/3 of nut; ovoid to broadly oblong, brown mature nut, 1/2 - 1 1/4 inches.

Habitat:

Habitat yard with plants chosen to attract wildlife.
