Tortrix Moth

Archips sp.

Description:

Tortricidae; Tortricinae; Archipini; Archips sp. "The Tortricidae are a family of moths, commonly known as tortrix moths or leafroller moths...Many species are drab and have mottled and marbled brown colors." Wikipedia. The Wiki articles on Tortricidae and Tortricinae are brief , but give all that you need to know about these interesting moths. I would change only one word in Wiki's description, the word "drab". I would replace it with the word "exquisite".

Habitat:

This Tortrix Moth was spotted on the side of a mossy old flowerpot in our front garden.
