Description:

Wild and native tree. Ornamentally used for its shin leaves. Flores blancas en un racimo largo en febrero y marzo Frutos globosos, pequeños (5-6 mm), dispuestos en racimo. Pueden ser verdes o morados al madurar. El racimo parece una mazorca. Fructifica en abril, mayo o junio.

Habitat:

Sub-tropical mountain forest in Guatemala at 1800 msn.
