Fowler's toad

Bufo fowleri

Description:

The fowler's toad is native to North America and about 2 to 3.5 inches in size. It is grayish brown in color and has three or more warts in the largest dark spots. It is similar to the American toad. It uses its tongue to snap up insects and other invertebrates.

Habitat:

This toad was found in a wooded area at Fort Smallwood State Park in Arundel County, Pasadena, Maryland.
