Emerald Glass Frog

Centrolene prosoblepon

Description:

Small in size, around 2 cm. Its belly is nearly transparent where you can see its internal organ, hence its name, Glass Frog. Centrolene prosoblepon is a species of frog in the Centrolenidae family, commonly known as the emerald glass frog.

Habitat:

It is found in Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rivers.

Notes:

I was taking pictures of the Orchids when this tiny frog jumped onto one of the orchid bloom and seek his attention :D Pic#4 is of another individual found on a night walk into a forested trail along a river, the side view shows a bit of the near transparent abdomen.
