Spotting

Description:

Mushrooms with prominent bell-shaped, dry caps, and chocolate colored gills. 7-8 cm tall. Discoloration where bruised and cut. Grow in groups.

Habitat:

In the grass in full sun.

Notes:

I suspect that an animal urinated or defecated where these mushrooms soon sprouted. Oddly enough, somebody had plucked two mushrooms from the ground, and left them in the arrangement I later photographed. I doubt an animal could remove mushrooms in such a fashion!
