Orange Bonnet

Mycena acicula

Description:

Growing on a small deciduous twig. The cap can't have been more than 3mm across, maybe even 2mm! About 1.5cm tall. This one stood out even though it was night because of the striking colour against the muddy background. I took a long time photographing this one hoping that some of the photos would be in focus! Thanks wildaboutbritain.co.uk for the ID. No spore print since too small (I managed to get a white spore print from M. acicula another time no photos of the mushroom or spore print unfortunately)
