Striated Pardalote

Pardalotus striatus uropygialis

Description:

This beautiful little bird has two orange (all descriptions I've read say yellow but this is definitely orange to me) patches on the forehead. The crown of the head is black. It has a white eyebrow and a black eye-stripe. The breast is predominantly white with a yellow throat that shapes into an upside down "Y" along the flanks. In pic 2 (it's not so clear) there is a (I think) purple speck on the wing near the shoulder.

Habitat:

There were two flying around together in sparse scrubland along a track at Goombaragin Eco Retreat.
