Large terrestrial bird of prey - although they can fly, they generally run down prey flushing from the grass and trampling or kicking it to death. One kick can shatter a human hand.

Assuming this is the male. The other bird was on a nest with newly hatched chick This was my top wish-listed avian for the trip.
