Large Flowered Cyrtochilum

Cyrochilum macranthum

Description:

A bright, waxy petaled orchid found on the Rio Chido Trail at San Lorenzo, northern Peru. I am not sure of exact altitude but reasonably high. I know nothing of orchids so any help with the id would be great. Also if there is a mission anyone would like to include it in, please let me know.

Great orchid triggsturner! The common name for this is The Large Flowered Cyrtochilum, so you can update the common and scientific name. You could also add this to the Wild Orchids mission.

Hi Polilla, Well you are a star! Does it have any kind of English (Spanish) name? I will update accordingly. Thank you so much for the info.
