Clavulinopsis helvoa?
Found within a metre of two similar looking fungi; one that was bright yellow and another that was orange...? According to The Collins Guide to Mushrooms and fungi by Paul Sterry you need a microscope to distinguish, with certainty, between C. luteoalba http://data.nbn.org.uk/interactive/map.j..., C. helvola http://data.nbn.org.uk/interactive/map.j... and C. laeticolor http://data.nbn.org.uk/interactive/map.j... judging by NBN gateway distributions, C. helvola is the most common so I'll go with that for now!
