white-shouldered house moth

Endrosis sarcitrella

Description:

This is a small (8mm) moth with mottled brown, black and white patterns. The head and thorax are white, with the latter having a distinct scalloped margin. Labial palps are long, recurved and banded.

Habitat:

An introduced house pest which lives on vegetable and animal matter. Seen in most countries..

Notes:

Another Oecophorid moth -I liked the banding on the labial palps - a pest nonetheless ! http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.ed...
