Waved Sphinx Moth

Ceratomia undulosa

Description:

Found on July 19th and released on August 9th. The second picture is of its tail disappearing into the dirt of the habitat it was kept in on the same day it was found (it wasted no time). On August 9th it came out of its cocoon, which can be seen in my hand in the third picture. I offered it some sugar water immediately after I noticed it had come out and then released it.

Notes:

Pictures taken with iPhone 5.
