Salmon Bird-Eater

Lasiodora parahybana

Description:

An absolutely massive Brazillian salmon pink bird-eating tarantula. That common name is more a mouthful than its binomial name. This beautiful girl was hiding up under a log, and in my experience my salmon bird-eater likes to be out in the open. This beautiful girl was almost a foot across. Despite the name they barely if at all will catch and prey on avians. They're ambush predators by nature. Kinda hard to ambush a bird. Cheeky flying bastards.

Habitat:

Native to Brazil.
