Habitat:

Mossy ground in mixed forest. Tanoak, manzanita, oak, pine, redwood all in the vicinity.

Notes:

The blue-edged gills (referred to as "marginate") distinguish this species from other small blue Entoloma species. To be avoided, similar species are known to be toxic.
