I have seen several of these beetles at my night porch light and last summer I found one in the yard during the day.

Thank you kcurtain. Maybe I'm finding males that are out looking for females?? Not sure.
Strange that you'd find them wandering around in the open. I find these guys all the time inside rotting logs, which is where they live. Beautiful shots! Love the detail.
