Not sure what I was looking at? This was a second winter I've been seeing this goose on Geneva lake, always in company of a rather rare Red-breasted Goose. I see some resemblance in head and body shape; and colour of the back... and I'm thinking this could be a hybrid...
This is a second winter I see this one on Geneva lake, in a center of the city... maybe an escapee?

Thanks Sukanya - actually I think it is the same bird... It made me laugh seeing all the photos in that link. I have a rather similar series of pics of all these geese present in that spot on Geneva lake; and I had the same questioning like the person who posted these. Many thanks, that was really helpful. I stumbled across a few links/Birdforum sites where the photo of a bird matches that taken by you. People seem to think it is a hybrid. Maybe you would like to check.
