Jungle Babbler

Turdoides striata

Description:

These birds are social; always moving in groups (about 6-7). Colour is a nondescript grey, eyes are yellow and rather mean-looking. Long tail. Yellow beaks.

Habitat:

My rooftop terrace where I put out seeds and biscuit crumbs etc., for birds. These babblers also inspect the soil in the pots for insects and worms.

Notes:

The chick was fed by more than one adult (but that could have been Mummy AND Daddy)
