Description:

Brown body that went to a brown/grey at the head. White throat and white mask around eyes. Black eyes have orange ring around them. Ten chicks. Darker brown bodies with yellowish chests, necks and most of their faces. Line of brown from their eyes to the back of their heads. Mostly black beaks with the tips orange.

Habitat:

Swampy pond at the end of a dried-up canal. It dries up toward the summer. Full of fish and insects.

Notes:

They spend a few hours zig-zagging from one side of the canal to the other and a bit of time in the pond section.
