American Bullfrog

Lithobates catesbeianus

Description:

Green frog, hiding in a murky pond near the Alabama River. These frogs flee into the pond every time I approach them, but if I sit still for about five minutes they often return.

Unfortunately not haha. Most frogs make what is called a release call when they jump or are being eaten, and it sounds like a chirp.

It was "chirping" when it fled the area, does that help?

Hard to tell on this guy since he's under water, but looks more like a bullfrog than green frog. I can't tell for sure though
