New Zealand hebe

Hebe speciosa

Description:

A shrub growing to 2 metres high. Impressive 2 toned flowers with white and bright pink.

Habitat:

Suburban roadside.

Notes:

A common garden plant around here for which I have never known the name. Always looks healthy and none of the local wildlife seem to show interest in it. A native of New Zealand. Also known as showy hebe, and showy-speedwell.
