The Comma is a familiar visitor to gardens throughout the UK and lowland Wales. This species has made significant progress in increasing its numbers over the last 100 years, when it was at the verge of extinction and more or less confined to the Welsh Boarders

Habitat:

Common in woods, hedgerows, and gardens throughout much of England & Wales. Had extended its range considerably in recent decades
