Snowy Owl

Bubo scandiacus

Description:

These are a few more from Horicon, Wi... I got there at sunrise and watched and photographed them to my heart's delight. It was the first time I had ever seen a Snowy Owl before. The Crow vs. Snowy was taken in Milwaukee on a winter day, after Horicon. The Snowy's locking talons... one female, one juvenile... I think. Hope you all enjoy.

Wonderful! You must have a powerful telephoto lens to get these without harassing the owls!
