Yes, definitely not a fruit fly. From what I've seen in real life so far, the only fly that reaches that length is the Black Soldier Fly, but your spotting does not look like it so I'm not sure ....

Thanks Agnes, I really don't know if it is a Fruit Fly, it was almost an inch long.
