Argiope luzona
This is an adult female Argiope luzona. It has created a very small Stabilimentum with only one short arm. This is called a "One-armed Cruciate Stabilimentum".
Spotted this spider on its web beside an old farmhouse in the rice fields.
The nomenclature which I am using, for the various Stabilimenta shown in this series of spottings, comes from a scientific paper written by a leading group of Philippine academics. https://www.researchgate.net/publication...............
