Cape Canary

Serinus canicollis

Description:

I want to be kind to this bird and show it's best side first. It appears to have got an infection from something, possibly an attack by a predator, or a disturbed insect while feeding. It was still flying around with the rest of the flock and feeding.

Habitat:

Botanical gardens in Table Mountain national park.
