Caligo telamonius, memnon
It flies by my home every morning and afternoon but never stops...It is the size of the Morpho but it has very little blue and lots of beige in the wings today it did stop... inside my home!! it was very beat up!! but still beautiful Cocoon- http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/155... I could not believe my eyes when I went to the 2nd Link in the bottom!! I have been raising them right outside my living room (Inner Garden) I had 3 very large Pale Owl-Butterfly Immatures or Caterpillars in the dwarf banana tree, I will place a spotting soon... : ) : ) Thank you so much, bayucca
Interesting one. According to BOA Caligo telamonius memnon is not found in Costa Rica, but I have reports in books from it. The Tico pendant would be Caligo telamonius menus:

But that one does not have this pale area on the ventral side, which, at least to my knowledge, is only found in Caligo telamonius memnon. I will try to find out more about this one.
