You're welcome Seema. Unlike Ospreys in other parts of the world these don't migrate. Enjoy the area it's a prime stopping off point in the Pacific Flyway. December and January are great months to see lots of migratory birds.

This bird is one of a permanent pair (male) in the San Joaquin Wetlands which is just doen the road from Newport Bay. The female was born and fledged from an Upper Newport Bay nest so you may have seen her Mom or Dad!

Yesterday..I saw one of this kind on a tree in Upper Newport bay..was nt sure of identity..so that was an Osprey..
