Ferruginous Hawk

Buteo regalis

Description:

Large hawk
Juvenile Head is lightly brown head and rufous back and wings. Rufous streaks over white chest and same color barring over belly. Under tail is white with faint bar. Yellow legs that are feathered.

Habitat:

spotted on a power pole near farm land.

Notes:

Spotted in the exact same location as a Rough-legged Hawk a few months ago.
