This species is also known as the European black slug, or black arion or large black slug and is a species of large terrestrial slug. The whole group that was seen was completely black, with brown-reddish foot fringe, some 12 to 15 cm long.
Seen in alpine forest of Jura regional park, near the board of the narrow road, feeding on of their congener.
