Spotting

Description:

Fruiting body with zones of color (brown, tan, white). It had white teeth on the underside that bruised brownish red. The entire fruiting body was at least 20 cm wide.

Habitat:

This fungus was growing directly on the ground in a deciduous forest. The nearest tree was about 15 feet away.

Notes:

Possibly Mycorrhaphium sp. or Phellodon sp.?
