Kestrel

Falco tinnunculus

Description:

Small, pigeon sized raptor, predominantly brown with yellow legs. I'm not sure about the subspecies seen here but am thinking of F. t. archeri - male (pics N° 1, 3 and 5) appeared to have plain grey tail with the male, less-spotted back and cream colored discreetly spotted chest and belly...

Habitat:

Urban setting, central area (Medina) of Marrakech - we observed this couple every day during our one-week stay, they appeared to have adopted this minaret as a permanent perch.
