Jellis, I had no idea the Canada Goose had been split into two species. I am still doing some research but you very well may be right. Based on the bird's size, bill length and neck length it appears to be a cackling goose, although it could be a Lesser Canada Goose as well.

This may not be a Canada goose. It looks more like a cackling goose.
