Cloudless Sulfur Caterpillar (Willie)

Description:

I was trimming the seed pods off my Candlebush and some flowers were with them. I was surprised to find a caterpillar on one of the flowers because it had been a chilly night.

Habitat:

I took the flowers into the house and put them in a tub of water and named the occupant Willie. Willie continued to eat for 3 days and then went on a journey to find a spot for his Chrysallis. He settled on a stem of a tomato on my kitchen counter. So interesting to see it form. Before we moved I put him on the South side of some bushes in my garden.

Awesome spotting! Other than me having some spelling issues, I think Willie was a Cloudless Sulphur.

Very nice to see it transform Alice. Did it start on a lily? (willie from the lily)
