A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
Smallish brown mushroom white on edge, tending to grow in small clumps. Brown stem somewhat floccose, white gills.
In dirt by the side of a rural road, at the edge of the woods.
I should amend the spotting to say 'whitish' gills. I'm leaning toward identifying it as an Inocybe.
Looked to be growing from earth, probably mycorrhizal.
Is it growing from wood or earth?
some gymnopilus maybe?
