Description:

Shell to 10 cm (4 in.). Shell has a few very long straight spines extending from the main body of the shell. Vague light brown stripes encircle the shell.

Habitat:

Inhabit sand and mud bottoms and commonly bury during the day and emerge at night. Indo Pacific and Japan.
