Leaf Katydid

Description:

Saw lots of this Leaf Katydid during a night walk and they can make loud sound, if not mistaken by rubbing their wings together. In Pic#4, it flattened itself to the leaf, probably to get better camouflage. When I touched it, it flips up to show its defensive posture, kind of funny looking as though as it is making a hand stand or going to flip a summersault.

Habitat:

Tropical forest
