Description:

A Pearl Crescent butterfly in mid September. This species have several variations, and this one is one of the few without white spotting. These can be spotting flying from April to November, a much broader range than its similar species the Northern Crescent that flies June-August.

Habitat:

Fluttering around a massive patch of cane-like plants in evening shade, just beside the Arkansas River at Cadron Settlement park.
