6 days after spotting a Angled castor near whitefield railway station, i thought i have spotted one more angled castor but in a different place. It was surprising to spot a castor near a hotel on a footpath as there were no flowering plants or trees nearby. Castor might have landed on search of water(pic 2) . Initially thought it might be dead , but it was luckily alive and could see it slowly moving its wings after sometime(pic 3). On closer observation, found that it is common caster indeed and not angled castor(Ariadne ariadne)
Castor butterflies get their name as their larvae mostly feed on castor plants. But it is one of the common butterflies seen in sub-urban areas, gardens
