White Spotted Spruce Sawyer

Monochamus scutellatus

Description:

I was in the shade and should of put my flash on. Should of had high speed shooting on too. Too late. These beetles like to fly at and land on people. That's exactly what it did. I dropped my Camera to brush it off because they usually bite. Didn't this time though. I broke the door on my Camera. Fortunately I had Electrical Tape in the Car. ha! Darn bug anyway!

Habitat:

A Prairie Meadow.

Notes:

Although I know these Beetles sometimes fly @ you. I wasn't ready for the action.
